It’s been a minute… or like a year and a half. Where have I been? Well, I had posted a couple of YouTube videos before going dark over here. After that, I had still been scrapbooking a little bit but didn’t record the process. I tend to overthink things and I needed some time to craft for me without the added pressure of a lot of footage to edit which took a while. Anyhow, I’ve had my time to refresh and recharge, so I’m back!
This [half] spread is probably going to act as my title page for 2022. I’ve always had a hard time with title pages, especially picking out photos for it, or trying to come up with the best font if I’m just doing numbers. It can be mentally exhausting, so I thought I would just jump right back into it. To kick in the new year, my husband and I stayed home as the Omicron numbers kept going up. we played Mario Party Superstars on the Nintendo Switch. The next morning, we had brunch along with some mimosas!
For this spread, I used the Humble + Create Happy & New journal cards, but I edited them slightly. For the first one, I edited the background colour, the colour of some of the circles, and extended the background all the way to the bottom. For the journal card, I recoloured one of the emojis, resized it, and created a new journal card with it.
Finally, for the Happy New Year card, I changed the background colour from mustard to blush.
For this spread, on the title card, I used printable vellum and Dura-Lar underneath it; for the text, I used the WRMK Foil Quill with rose gold foil. The labels I used are from PaperPerson.shop. I printed all the photos and cards on a Canon Pixma Pro-100 (which has been discontinued) on Kirkland photo paper. The stamp I used for the photo of Maya is Cat Parent by Everyday Explorers, and I stamped using a StazOn ink pad. I’m using a 10×8 album by Ali Edwards.
Hope you enjoy the video!
