Hi friends!
This week’s process video is for March of 2020: the month where things went awry. It started out normal enough, eh? For this month’s pages, I started with jotting down notes about photos and things that happened during the month. I also grabbed some stats from Worldometer‘s COVID-19 update page. From there, I started populating a timeline and added photos. I love the way it turned out but I don’t think I’ll be doing this again for April since it was not as eventful. I tried to write down as much info, but if I missed something, please leave a comment below.
Some background information on how I document: I document Project Life monthly, and I don’t limit the number of spreads that I do per month. I print my photos at home using an Epson PictureMate PM-400 for most of my photos under 5×7 on Epson paper; Canon Pixma Pro-100 for anything larger on Kirkland photo paper (from Costco) for anything 8.5″x11″ and under; for the 13×19 photos I used on this spread, I used Canon Pro Luster photo paper. To printing journaling, elements and filler cards, I use an Epson ET-2650, and for printing on vellum, I use a Canon laser printer – LB6030w. The photo pocket pages are held in a Pinnacle album from Walmart, and the 6×12 inserts I use are from Becky Higgins – Design H My roller date stamp is 1Canoe2.
Left: The rainbow background card is from the Project Life – Strawberry Edition core kit (digital) and the March card is old from Studio Calico. The “This is me today” stamp is from the Everyday Explorers This Is Me set, which is currently sold out (digital). The white alphas are from Kelly Purkey and the “eating together” stamp is from Ali Edwards’ Foodie Collection chipboard sticker bundle. The numbers are from the Kelly Purkey Get It set which is super old; the yellow and pink ink pads are from the Hero Arts x Kelly Purkey Outdoor set and the ink for 3 is a Prima Marketing chalk edger in Turquoise Stone which I believe are discontinued. The “Captured” sticker is from Studio Calico.
Insert front: The Avery Multiuse Ultra Tab is from a pack of 3 with blue and lilac, and the “Love” stamp is from Kelly Purkey‘s Love Story set.
Insert back: The “Hello Sunshine” brush stamp is from In A Creative Bubble’s Weather stamp brushes.
Right: The labels with numbers are from Studio Calico, the March is from Ali Edwards’ Stories By The Month (SBTM) kit from March 2020. The lashes chipboard sticker is from Studio Calico. The blush heart is from Felicity Jane. The “Remember This” journal card is from the March 2020 SBTM kit, the heart sticker is from Lora Bailora. The Animal Crossing image was from a screen capture from the game, and the Mario Kart image was edited by me. The Mar10 image was also found online and edited to fit a 3×4 card.
Left: The “Here’s what happened this month” card is from Ali Edwards’ Stories By The Month (SBTM) kit from March 2020. The “tough stuff stamp” is from Kelly Purkey‘s Work In Progress stamp set. The Kraft paper labels are probably from the Target One Spot.
Right: This is an image created in photoshop. “The New Normal” is a stamp brush by In A Creative Bubble (New Normal Stamp Brushes). The Avery Multiuse Ultra Tab is from the same pack of 3 with pink and lilac and I stamped “Right Now” from the Everyday Explorers This Is Me set (digital).
This was created using Illustrator. The digital stamps are from In A Creative Bubble (on the left–New Normal) and the Switch icon on the right is also by IACB, but it is from the Stay Home Stay Safe digital stamp set from Studio Calico.
Left: The “shopping for essentials” from In A Creative Bubble’s New Normal stamp brushes.
Right: The “the story from right now” card is from Ali Edwards’ Stories By The Month (SBTM) kit from March 2020. The “Yes” and “Perfect” stickers are from Studio Calico and the Kraft paper labels are from the Target One Spot.
