Hi friends!
It’s been a while! I have been around, but I’ve had a lot going on around these parts, and I’m going into another busy season next month, but I figured I could get at least one video in before our next visitor comes to town!
For 2023, I’m using a 9×12 album. I decided on this as we’re traveling a little more, so I appreciate the extra bit of real estate that a 9×12 provides, without being too overwhelming or heavy like a 12×12 album. I’m using a black faux leather album from Studio Calico.
This process video will feature a trip to Paris. My dad, my brother, and my niece came to visit for the first time after Christmas, and we kicked off 2023 by taking the train to Paris. .
As per usual, I printed the most of the photos using the Canon Pixma Pro-100 (which has been discontinued) on Costco Kirkland 8.5″x11″ photo paper; the first page and the 6×8 photos were printed on Canon Pro Luster photo paper (the 13×19 size), and the others were printed using the Epson PictureMate PM-400 on the Epson paper that comes with the ink and paper pack.
Now onto the details:
I created this in Canva. I wanted something simple, especially since my title page will be a full 9×12. I added the disco ball and wine glasses from Studio Calico‘s You’ve Got Mail documenter kit. The gold embellishments (2023, Happy New Year, and Hello Twenty-twenty three) are from the December 2022 kit (Today’s Highlights) from Paper Person Shop.
Sandwiched between the Eiffel Tower photo and the one from Place Vendôme is half of a 6×8 plastic attacher sticker from Ali Edwards, and the other half side had some Scor-tape. The tab is from Ali Edwards’ Travel Collection from 2018, and it was reinforced by a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
The Eiffel Tower/Paris stamp, the M/Metro, and the Louvre building/pyramid are from the Paris stamp set from Paper Person Shop (and unfortunately, it is sold out). The Paris skyline stamp is super old from Lora Bailora (she has this brand new one!). I stamped these using StazOn ink on vellum. The tab is from Ali Edwards’ Travel Collection from 2018, and it was reinforced by a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
The welcome card from Maison Mère.
I used the Citrus Twist Page Protector #5 (Instax-sized) to make the small pockets for the photos, an Instax Share SP-2 printer to print the instax, and Scor-tape to adhere the pockets to the map.
The loop in for the coaster flip-up is by Tim Holtz. The digital stamps used were by Everyday Explorers (some were changed a bit by me). The “love this city” and the small stars stamps are by Studio Calico – Wanderlust by Paislee Press (sold out). The roller date stamp is by Heidi Swapp. I used Power Suit ink by Studio Calico. The “Museum Visit” and “Family Vacation” stamps are from the Arrival kit by Paper Person Shop (digital). The “At the Louvre” stamp is by Everyday Explorers – Passport: Paris (digital). The croissant is an old Paris set from Lora Bailora. The “Bon Voyage” and “Coming Home” stamps are by Ali Edwards – Travel Phrases from the 2018 Travel Collection. The mint labels are old ones from Studio Calico. The pastel purple sticky tag is from an old sticky note pad set by Kelly Purkey.
Let me know if you have any questions!
