Hello there!
This was my seventh January in Germany and it was the coldest that we’d had here. I grew up in Canada so I have more of a tolerance for the cold weather, but I still didn’t want to venture out much. It also feels like there isn’t much going on, and as a result, the photos were mainly taken around the house. This was definitely a homebody month.
This is my first year using the Scrap Your Life kit and I am really enjoying it so far! The colors are definitely my jam, and I must say that so far, I like it better than the now retired Studio Calico documenter kit. It feels more cohesive. I do have to make some changes here and there if the Spanish phrases are unfamiliar to me or don’t resonate with what I’m documenting.

Once again, I’m documenting monthly this year as I feel like there’s less. pressure to come up with things to document about, and this is especially helpful when I’ve been a homebody. With documenting month, I can have as many or as few spreads as my heart desires. The Scrap Your Life kit includes items to document weekly including the week numbers each month and a couple of journal cards to document week events.

I’m still printing my photos at home using the Canon Pixma-Pro 100 and Kirkland photo paper. I’m not looking forward to the day I run out of the paper since it’s been discontinued by Costco. I’m sure I’ll just use the Lustre paper by Canon when that day comes.
