This year is just zooming by.. I can’t believe we’re already more than a week into March! And here I am posting about January. There will be one more January spread that I will share hopefully next week, then we can move onto February!
This week’s post is about pretty much the first half of January, up until the 13th or so. I usually don’t like to take down the tree in the first week of January, but this year, I just wasn’t feeling the holiday season despite us having gone to some Christmas markets. So by the time the 5th of January rolled around, I was ready to see that tree gone!
For this spread, I used a journal card from the Paper Person’s Emotions kit (printable cards), a very old Studio Calico pink chipboard heart. I stamped the word “boots” with the Max alpha from Kerri Bradford in Mustard by Studio Calico (Color Theory), and I believe the pink journal card is also from Studio Calico. The “Warm & Cozy” stamp is from the Hygge set by In A Creative Bubble by Studio Calico, and I also stamp that with Mustard. My go-to adhesive is the Tombow MONO permanent adhesive and the mini stapler is a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
For the right spread, I used a journal card from the Paper Person’s Change of Scenery kit (printable cards), I stamped the date using a discontinued date roller stamp from 1canoe2 and Flamingo Color Theory ink by Studio Calico. The “kitty snuggles are the best” stamp is from the Cat Parent stamp set by Everyday Explorers, and I double-stamped it using Pink Lemonade Color Theory ink. The tan card is from the Studio Calico Next Chapter documenter kit (printable journal cards) and the Let’s Eat stamp set is by Abby Sy x Everyday Explorers and unfortunately, it is sold out in the US store and not available in digital form. The Mealtime Prompts set, however, is still available! The wonky rectangles were part of the Next Chapter stamp set by Studio Calico. I don’t believe this has gone on sale yet (it takes a few months after the subscription stamp is released to be available for purchase individually) but you can get the digital stamp set. I stamped the rectangles using Creme Brûlée Color Theory ink. The black ink used on this journal card is Inky Black Color Theory by Studio Calico.
I printed the photos using the Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer (which has been discontinued) on Kirkland 8.5″x11″ photo paper. I’m using a 10×8 album by Ali Edwards.
Lastly, here is the process video. I hope you enjoy it!
Take care!
